This lecture looks at theories and perspectives that are useful in understanding how organisations work. It is argued that an understanding of these is of value not only to enhance your academic understanding of how the criminal justice system works, but also can be effectively applied to your personal career planning. Many of the theories are also applicable to organisations beyond the criminal justice system.
